12/17/2023 0 Comments Nostalgia perfume sunday afternoon![]() ![]() This song has been so influential in my life. There are many other great Lokki songs too, like I Catch You. It's about wanting to give your everything to someone who's struggling, no matter how much of you it takes, and no matter the fact it's probable they will leave and forget about you. I can recall many times crying this song. A more classical song, though still a great song. ![]() The song is about not wanting someone to leave you, and I think it's an amazing song to cry to.īreathe a Breath of Me- Lokki. Every time I show someone Roy Blair, they always really relate to one song before the others, so if these two aren't your jam I suggest listening to all of them to find your one :)īreezeblocks- Alt-J. I also really enjoy the song Thunder on this album, dealing with similar themes. This is the album closer, talking about dealing with the death of some very close loved ones while recalling some good memories too. Super nostalgic album, but this song in particular. Read the description of the video for a better idea :) It also has an amazing and heart wrenching music video of the lead singer sitting in a human centrifuge (A machine astronauts use to get used to the extreme g-force of going into space) to try to imitate that feeling. Glass Animals uses music to imitate feelings, and it's amazing. It's a song that tries to portray the loss you go through when losing your friend to suicide. When he belts out "Let it rain!" Oh my god, it's like pouring out your soulĪgnes- Glass Animals. If any song you should really listen to this one. Vic Chesnutt - Flirted With You All My Life I just always liked how this song is sad but also really a reflection of life and reminds one that they should embrace the time they have and to live with a sense of freedom. ![]() I dunno, sounds kind of weird but I like the thought. I like to think that those times when you are alive and you say "Why am I worrying about this, it doesn't matter" that is the spirit of someone you once knew sort of communicating and telling you to relax. You're at peace with no burdens, watching your loved ones who are alive get caught up in stuff that doesn't really matter. I like the mellow happy vibe this puts out and I like the think of death as being seated in the sun and having fun watching everyone pass you by. ![]() I think this song captures the feeling of peaceful rest but also the feeling that even though you might be gone you still carry on in other ways. My Morning Jacket write some of the best damn songs in music. My Morning Jacket - I Will Be There When You Die Most of the songs don't deal with suicide but there are a few.Īgain, I appologize for not having time to test your music tastes I kinda made it accidentally by stringing the next song that felt right along as I listened to it the day it really "hit me". Here's a playlist I made in response to a friend's suicide a year ago. Jesus Christ - Brand New (made me cry for the first time in literally a decade)įor a Dancer - Jackson Browne (Solo accoustic) I'm sorry, I don't have the time to listen to the songs you listed so I don't know how much the styles will match but I have a playlist specifically made of emotionally heavy/charges songs for this sub. ![]()
